Product Design together with DMAA
Tendo
Before Christian Schrepfer opened his own studio, he was responsible for the industrial design division at Delugan Meissl Associated Architects (DMAA). In this context, along with other products, the chair series Tendo for BRAUN Lockenhaus, the door handle range 120 for Hewi and the LED spot light series IYON for Zumtobel were created.
"The fusion between the delicate wood construction and the stainless steel bearing structure makes TENDO into a synergistic unity as regards the lightness of the design and functional stability.
Materials and design are combined in a highly comfortable and practical shell seat. Up to ten seats can be stacked, therefore reducing the needed storage space."
TENDO FAMILY
TENDO is available in several variations. Single parts are flexible and usable in different ways, like parts of a modular assembly system. They represent the basic elements of the TENDO furniture range which will be complemented by tables, armchairs, and functional accessories.
"The filigree wooden construction blends into the supporting structure made of stainless steel and thus combines refined elegance with solidity. Material and shape combine to a shell chair with high seating comfort and easy handling."
